Founded in May 1980 by the Reimers family, RFM Seating began as a small, family-run operation with a simple goal: to build chairs that make a difference in people’s lives. In those early days, nearly every team member was family, handcrafting chairs with care and precision. Over four decades later, we’ve grown from offering just two chair models to more than 200 designs, distributed through trusted dealers across the United States. Yet no matter how large we grow, one truth remains — we never lose sight of family.

Our core markets include commercial offices, healthcare, education, and government contracts, but our purpose extends beyond business. Each year, we donate hundreds of chairs to local schools because we believe teachers deserve the same comfort, support, and quality we promise every professional.
We are proud to be fully manufactured in the USA, operating two production facilities — one in Oregon and one in Kansas — where we design, sew, upholster, and assemble every chair. Every RFM product reflects American craftsmanship and accountability, backed by ethical business practices and long-standing partnerships with our dealers and suppliers.

From the Verte® Task Chair with its individual articulating spines that flex and adjust to the human back, to our patented EnduraCoat™ frame finish that adds both durability and color customization, RFM remains at the forefront of ergonomic design. To demonstrate our confidence, every chair we build is backed by a 12-year warranty, offering peace of mind and proof of our craftsmanship.
Sustainability is central to our mission. RFM Seating is MAS Certified Green, meaning our products meet rigorous standards for low chemical emissions and environmental responsibility. We use low-emitting materials, recycle all fabric scraps, reuse packaging, and repurpose wood waste to minimize our environmental footprint. We package nearly every product in 95–100% cardboard, partner with the city to enhance recycling efforts, and source locally whenever possible. Most of our fabrics are made from recycled or eco-friendly materials, helping to close the loop on responsible manufacturing.
